About YRCI
A youth organisation built by the people it serves
Youth Rights & Citizenship Initiative was founded in Tirana in 2017 by youth workers and student activists who were tired of being consulted after the decisions were made.
Our story
We started with a single civic-education weekend for 20 students. Today YRCI runs multi-country projects, an accredited mobility programme and a research and publication library used by youth workers across the region.
Everything we do is designed with young people in the room: they co-write the agendas, facilitate the sessions and evaluate the results.

Mission
To equip young people in Albania with the skills, spaces and rights literacy they need to shape the decisions that affect them.
Vision
An Albania where every young person is an active, informed and respected citizen — locally and across Europe.
Objectives
Strengthen youth participation structures, expand access to mobility, defend youth rights and build durable partnerships.
